This journal has adopted the SAGER reporting Guidelines for Sex and Gender Equity in Research. Authors should use the terms sex and gender carefully in order to avoid confusing both terms. Where subjects can also be differentiated by gender (shaped by social and cultural circumstances), the research should be conducted similarly at this additional level of distinction. Where the subjects of research comprise organisms capable of differentiation by sex, the research should be designed and conducted in a way that can reveal sex-related difference in the results, even if these were not initially expected. Please consult the guidelines (https://researchintegrityjournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s41073-016-0007-6).
Each article should be accompanied by:
- an abstract of about 150 words in English language; the abstract should be structured in Introduction, Materials and methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions;
- three key words in English language (MeSH headings, whenever possible. Refer to: https://meshb.nlm.nih.gov/search).
Tables and figures should be kept to a minimum and be presented only if necessary.
When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.
